Nessism   Recreational Rider [Apr 29, 2002]
Strength:

Smooth ride. High quality construction. Durable.

Weakness:

Ride may be too soft for agressive riders and/or riders over 180 lbs.

Nice smooth riding fork. Much smoother ride than Kestral EMS that the Time replaced.

Strength:

Failry light weight for 1998 spec forks.
Very responsive, stiff, Looks the dogs!

Weakness:

Can dent, scratch easily.

Compared to today's threadless setups its a bit old hat but still a very durable and reliable piece of kit.

Monty   Road Racer [Aug 09, 2000]
Strength:

The Equipe has great road feel! By that I mean it's stiff and lively without transmitting a lot of vibration; therefore, it's comfortable over rougher sections and handles normal road conditions without giving a "sterilized" ride. I'm converting my Ti frame over to threadless and won't hesitate to purchase the Equipe for the redo. The fork provides exceptional control in hard cornering/crit conditions...and trust me, it's durable!

Weakness:

Not the lightest out there...that's it, though.

Pro ride and durability, period.
