Strength:

Light, stiff, handles beautifully. The welds are perfect and the paint job looks great out of the box. It was easy to build up, for the most part, and just oozes quality on the ride.

Weakness:

The paint job seems brittle. I've already put a number of good chips in the paint just through normal use, and I've had the bike built up for less than a week. I'll probably end up painting the whole bike matte black. This probably isn't a Basso-only thing, but it was absurdly hard to get the crown race for the headset installed on the fork.

The best frameset I have ever had. Period. It is light, stiff, and handles beautifully. The ride is just a little more harsh than a comparable steel frameset, but I'll gladly put up with that in favor of reduced flex in the frame when really pounding on the pedals. I got it on sale from Performance and so the value on this one was amazing. I have mine set up as a fixed gear using a wheel built up with the White Industries Eno eccentric hub, and it's a dream to ride.

Strength:

Light, stiff and gorgeous!

Weakness:

Paint may not last, we'll have to see.

Even before I opened the box, I knew it was something good as it came from the same region of Italy that Campy comes from! The frame is light and easy to build up. The only problem was some excess material- paint or carbon- on the steerer. The hidden welds are just to cool!
