This was the first road bike that I bought. Coming from a MTB background,I didn't know much about road bikes. After a few months of riding and a few thousand KMs,I had about 2 crashes but the bike is still as good as new! The derailleurs shift perfectly,the bike feels stiff and responsive. Definitely one of the best,if not the best entry level road bike for those who are looking to get into road biking or just want a enjoyable,durable and good quality road bike for a great price!

Top quality bike at a beginners price! This is a $1000+ bike. I paid $725. I still can't believe it. 105 components at 2300 prices. Quality frame, 10 speeds and it even comes with clipless pedals.

The seat was swapped out right away. I could see upgrading the wheels at a later date. If you are brand conscience, this is not for you. Those who still believe they will be in the next Tour De France will frown on you. That goes away when you pass them.

This bike is a great bike. It is fast, responsive and light. Even my bike shop mechanic agreed this was a well made and great buy. Ive been in the saddle for 30+ years. This is has quickly become a favorite.

Price was a major factor. Good 105 / Ultegra mix. Salesman upgraded my seatpost to a Campy record at no charge.

Shimano 500 wheels (replaced) the derailleur hanger bent and Ultegra rear d. cage broke. replaced free, bottom bracket was wearing funny - replaced with Ti at no charge. Saddle stiff.

Was looking for a secondary bike at my work location. I have about 1000 miles on it and it's pretty solid. Tektro brakes are a bit scary in descents. Corners well and very responsive. Chnaged the wheels to Aksiums, I'm 6' 235 and the Shimano 500's were a bit loose.

-r500 are not good at staying trued
-if platforms are on it from factory, make sure you get them loosened up. Mine were a beast to take off and was even hard for my LBS (B + L bike shop). It's as though they forced it on way too hard.
-handlebar isn't curved for comfort, standard original type

Read the strengths and weaknesses.
I love this bike personally. The weaknesses are more mental, besides the seat post and the r500 wheelset, but they work fine in reality.
