Litespeed T3 Road Bike

Available At:

For 2013 Litespeed has incorporated a 3rd Titanium road frame in to there quiver. The T3 falls directly in the middle of the T1 and T5 (Archon and Xicon of 2012), offers the perfect blend of race performance and comfort at a price that wont light your wallet on fire. Built only a slightly raised platform, the T3 offers a little more forgiving geometry than that of the T1, but is still 100% race ready. Using the same upgrade’s to that of the T1, the T3 will offer the same PF30 bottom bracket, as well as the 44mm oversized headtube.

Strength:

Stiff, forgiving, strong

Weakness:

Heavier than a comparable carbon bike, but what you give up in weight you gain in comfort and strength

This bike is awesome. It is super stiff for titanium. Stiff even compared to my old carbon fiber. When you hammer on the pedals it gets up and goes. Climbs great and sprints remarkably well, again for titanium. My last Ti bike was in 1999 and was a paramount (a Serrota with Schwin paint.) the T3 is a different kind of ride. Litespeed def found a way to really stiffen this frame. It feels extremely solid. Descends like a mad man. I hit corners with confidence and the Ti really sucks up the road. chatter and small bumps. The over sized 44mm head tube paired with and tapered Envelope 2.0 fork make you feel like you on rails. This is an outstanding bike and can still be built very light. Mine is 17 lbs with SRAM red and an old training wheel set. With a light weight wheel set and some modest upgrades I figure I can get it to 16 lbs.

Strength:

climbs wonderfully, stiff and responsive. Compare to my former Carbon frame it feels alive. When you stand to sprint or climb the power transfers instantly. No lag or that feeling of flex. Its my first TI frame and Im glad that I spent the money to get it. Its a joy to ride, the envy of the bunch and looks stunning. I also have 11spd DuraAce gropo on it which is a pleasure to ride on.

Weakness:

The fat bugger on the peddles!

just buy it, you will not regret it. Once you go TI you'll never go back!
