Strength:

Bottom Bracket stiffness
Comfort

Weakness:

paint job is soft, the paint chips easily, especially around the drop outs

I have been riding bikes for over 40 years, and this is by far my favorite bike. As a heavier, recreational rider, I was concerned with getting a comnfortable bike while at the same time being responsive. This bike fit the bill perfectly. If I were to describe the bike, it's a dream...fast, responsive, comfortable, all in one bike.

Strength:

- Less than 1 ounce above 15 lbs (w/o peddles)
- Accelerates hard
- Supple ride (with tires at 100 psi)
- Mercury wheels (1,310 grams)
- Dura-Ace 7900 group set (very smooth)

Weakness:

- Price, otherwise, none

This is for a 2011 Pinarello Dogma 60.1 FPX1. With limited miles, it rides very well. It handles speeds over 30 MPH with ease whether through curves or straight road. It feels like all power transfers to the rear wheel. Tire pressure at 100 psi, vibrations are absorbed well. I expect it to ride very well on a long ride.

Strength:

Stiff but comfortable. Appears to have a reasonable head tube for a racing bicycle, thus able to get comfortable without back discomfort in a middle aged weekend rider. Descends like on rails. Easy couse correction on turns.

Weakness:

Perhaps slighly heavy. Cost, this was a slightly used frame off Ebay

Have ridden bike for 100 miles this weekend. I agree with other riders. It is very stable on descending. It is stiff, but does absorb road vibration. Putting a little less air into the Hed wheels may also help. Feels like all pedaling goes to forward progress, especially on climbing. Good looking bike as well. Campy Chorus works well. Very comfomfortable Hand levers.

Strength:

Stable, fast, great road feel. Awesome sprinting bike and great descending.

Weakness:

Not many people know how to work with magnesium so it is expensive to make.

They don't even have the right year for the Dogma FPX. Mine is a 2009 model and I also have a 2006 Dogma FP. I liked the Dogma FP so much I bought the newer lighter version early this year. It is a magnesium bike that has absolutely incredible ride, road feel and is a turbo charged sprinting machine. I am a heavier rider at 6 feet and 180 lbs and this bike is so stable at any speed that it gives you absolute confidence. It was originally designed with sprinter Petacchi in mind and he won a lot of races with the older version. The new version is much better than the older FP but it has never been popular even though it was Pinarello's flagship model. Now they have taken the Prince and recycled it calling it the new Dogma. The Prince is not the bike that the Dogma FPX is and it is a sad day that this bike is discontinued. If you want a great bike built
out of the best material for a bicycle (magnesium) pick one up before there are no more. The best ones are the FPX's. The FPX is lighter and overall an improved version of the FP.

I have a Pinarello Prince 2009 but i certainly don't like it as much as the Dogma.

Strength:

Excellent geometry, beautiful finish. Ride is comfortable and yet stiff. Am unsure how Pinarello managed this. Beautiful fork and seat stays. Bike rides well on flat and hills.

Weakness:

On the heavy side, magnesium welds are big. Oversize BB good for ride but pain for different models of crank swap. Fork and seat stays curves not for everyone. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE out of reacy for many.

Set up with Campag Record, Fassa Bortolo color, Deda Bars and Garmin GPS computer with cadence option.Time RXE Titan pedals.
