Strength:

Functionality is simple!

Weakness:

Re-setting the wheel size - wish it was sensory perceptive...

I have been using the Trek Sensor for the past 10 years. And I truly enjoy it and the funnctionality is so simple. The only minor issue is the when ever I change the wheels I have to re-set the number for the wheel size. Besides that, I have not had any problems and have been dropped a few times while riding and it just kept on ticking...great piece of machinery!!! ever since I bought my Trek bike. I am looking to upgrade, but don't know what to get...

Strength:

Accurate, no fault unit. Slim design looks good on the bike.

Weakness:

None.

This unit is bullet proof. I have used this computer for 5+ years and never had a problem with it. It has even ended up left in my jersey pocket thorugh a wash or two and still keeps on ticking. Not sure why some folks are having trougle replacing the battery. I use the same as most computers use. This unit is a good choice.

Strength:

Set it and forget it. Resetting trip info is easy.

Weakness:

You can pay more for more functions, but I don't need them.

Been using the Trek Sensor for more than 5 years with no problems. It just works. Has all the functions I'm looking for. Battery finally died and I'm online searching for a users manual.

Strength:

good display, easy to control, manual tire size entry = accurate, basic features, durable, water-resistant, removable faceplate

Weakness:

no cadance, odd battery size

Well, I''''m a roadie but have put my bike through a lot of abuse. I got the Sensor about 5 years ago (1997 or so) on sale and it has performed almost flawlessly. The only problem I had was finding a replacement battery to fit it. The one I got works fine but is too big for the battery cover to snap on securely. This led to the computer turning off unexpectedly, blanking out, and erasing the odometer. I fixed it with a splat of electrical tape across the back. It''''s worked just fine since then, and I''''ve only had to replace the battery that one time. That''''s what the auto-off feature gets you! I just got a new bike and am planning on moving this computer over to it until my wallet is recovered enough to get a computer with cadence. That''''s about the only weakness I''''ve seen.
