Strength:

Double walled and eyelets are the ultimate durability feature that a rim should have. Light rims for the tanks that they are.

Weakness:

Have work my way through the machined braking surface from the long over heating descents of the Canadian Rockies and Cabot Trail. Maybe the ceramic finished option might be good if you’re going to try this type of stuff.

Bought these rims and had them mounted with DT Swiss spokes for trainers and cross continental tour. These were ridden in all weather conditions, from highways to very rough surfacing, right down to gravel road and endured very hard climbs and high speed descents with not so much as a hit of wanting to give out.

Strength:

you can beat these wheels up and never feel unstable. period. i have riden a pair of these down mtns and they are like on rails!

Weakness:

just, the flexion. but what would you rather have, wheels that flex with you or wheels that have the spokes pop out and scare the living heck out of you???

yes, they flex...but have never popped a smoke or had any issues at al with these rims. PERIOD. there will always be a give and take with weight and strength and stiffness etc etc....for any of you larger- say, 300lb riders out there...you will find this a nice investment, especially with how inexpensive they are going for these days!!!
