    Strength:

Stock with the bike, so I didn't have to pay for them. Low rolling resistance for such a wide tire. Very smooth ride on the flats.

    Weakness:

Something about the rubber on these tires seems to suck glass right in. I had four flats in just 400 miles, all on a road I have commuted on hundreds of times with no flats at all. For two of the flats, I had to extract big hunks of glass from the tire; one hunk did enough damage to require a boot. Cornering is not a strength. I experimented with various tire pressures, but the bike always felt unsteady on even a moderate turn.

All the specs say these should be very good commuting or touring tires. But I had four flats in 400 miles in the first month. Also, as another reviewer noted, cornering is mushy. Not recommended.

    Strength:

    Comfortable ride

    Weakness:

    Extremely poor cornering!

These are the 700x32 tires for a "project bike". I had a '71 Raleigh Professional frame and a set of 105 triple. I decided to make a "picnic bike" with fat tires, racks, and bags. The Bontragers were what the local shop stocked for 700x32. They roll nicely, the fat tread is good through gravel, and the low pressure gives a very cushy ride. Problem is, they don't corner worth a squat! Unless I slow to a near stop on corners, the tires squirm around to the point where I think I'm likely to go down.
