Leeds to Harrogate
Sunday, July 6th / 191 km / Flat Stage Flat Stage

This testing 191km jaunt from Leeds to Harrogate is earmarked for the sprinters. And none of those fast men will be more eager to pull on the race’s first yellow jersey than Great Britain’s own Mark Cavendish. The Manx Missile has never worn the race leader’s jersey. To do so in his native country on a day that finishes in his mother’s hometown would be all the better. Standing in his way will be the likes of former teammate Andre Greipel and young star Marcel Kittel, who won the Tour’s opening stage a year ago.

Our pick: Cavendish takes the emotional win and his first yellow jersey.
