Friday, July 25th / 208.5 km / Flat Flat Stage

A long, flat day in the saddle looks perfect for a sprint finish — or a successful breakaway. You just never know, especially at this late stage of the race. And that is magnificent beauty of the Tour de France. The head says the fast men will duke it out at the finish. But the heart wants to see a lone survivor gut his way to a dramatic solo win.

Our pick: We’ll go with the heart and give the stage win to wily old man Chris Horner who has just enough smarts and TT skills to hold off a hard closing peloton.
