Specialized-McLaren-Aero-Helmet-2

A shorter tail is claimed to improve aerodynamics in a variety of positions.

Continuing to push its mantra of #aeroiseverything, Specialized is showing off the latest version of its aero TT helmet, the S-Works McLaren TT 4. The new wind cheater is a slimmed down version of the TT3. Highlights include dual density foam construction, drag reducing side vents, and a claimed weight of 340 grams.

The idea behind the new lid is that it works well in a variety of positions, not just head on. This is because, unlike a mannequin in a wind tunnel, most riders actually tend to move around some during time trail efforts. No word yet on pricing or availability.
