Apparel Feature Articles Helmets

Like football players, professional cyclists spend most of their “playing” time obscured by helmets. Most of them also wear sunglasses, making it even harder to see what these hardmen of the sport really look like.

With that in mind, we thought it would be fun to take a look at the faces behind the racers. Here are up-close-and-personal shots of the 18 men that make up the Swiss-based BMC Racing Team, including promising young Americans Tejay van Garderen and Taylor Phinney.

Can you ID the three special jerseys? What do they stand for? And who do you think has the best — and worst — hair?
