Hayes CX Pro Prototype Disc Brake

Hayes showed us a prototype mechanical disc brake called the CX Pro. This is a lightened and improved version of the popular Hayes CX 5 brake that has been out for about a year. Pricing has not yet been set and Hayes hopes to have this brake available in time for this year’s cyclocross season.

    Why “test the waters” with a mechanical brake, jump right into hydraulic. It will probably be ok as long as it’s a dual action caliper and not those god awful single action designs that require non stop constant fiddling. Never again will I mess with those.
