LeMond Fitness Teams Up With Peaksware to Introduce Power Based Training

Offered on g-force Exercise Bikes to Improve Athletic Performance

San Francisco, CA – At IHRSA’s 2009 International Convention and Trade Show Trade, LeMond Fitness demonstrated their new WKO Lite™ power based training program on their g-force UT exercise bike. A partnership with Peaksware integrates this popular performance analysis software with a LeMond Fitness line of products designed under the leadership of Tour de France legend Greg LeMond.

“From racers to beginners, the g-force UT has the adjustability to replicate your racing position on your road or mountain bike and also measures wattage, which is THE way to measure performance. The ‘road feel’ is excellent as well and it’s hard to tell you are on an indoor bike when you ride it….Add in the ability to record and download each of your workouts on a USB stick and put them right into the WKO software? No brainer. This is the training tool for anyone serious about improvement. I highly recommend it.” – Hunter Allen, Founder Training Peaks WKO+

Offered on both the g-force upright and recumbent exercise bikes, users now have the ability to download their workout statistics with a flash drive directly from the g-force digital console. Once transferred to a computer, these statistics – including time, distance, calories burned, heart rate, and intensity in watts – can be applied to the WKO Lite™ training software which is included with g-force models. A popular training tool with triathletes, WKO Lite™software includes three exclusive g-force training plans designed by Hunter Allen, author of Training and Racing with a Power Meter, to help the user become stronger, fitter, and faster.

“Training on the gforce UT allowed me to qualify for the 2009 World Championships in Olympic Distance Triathlon – increasing my watt output from 220 to 330 watts. I also coach my triathlon team with the UT and they love the road feel, the ability to duplicate an aero position identical to their road bikes, and the WKO Lite training programs. “ – Josh Fitchitt, Triathlon Coach, Exercise Psychologist, Adventure racer

At IHRSA, a triathlete using the g-force bike demonstrated the WKO Lite™ Peak Performance Training Plan – a watts based program. Said LeMond Fitness founder Greg LeMond, “I designed the g-force UT to give athletes a competitive edge. Power based training has never been easier.”
