More durable, better grip, and increased shock absorption are the highlight features of Prologo’s new gloves and saddles, which company PR man Salvatore Truglio showed off to RoadBikeReview at last month’s Sea Otter Classic.
The special material in question (dubbed CPC or connect, power, control) is a 3D polymer also used in Formula 1 car seats to keep drivers from slipping around. WorldTour squad Saxo Bank-Tinkoff is also on board, using the saddles on its Specialized team bikes.
Saddles come in three shapes – round (Scratch Pro CPC), semi round (Nago EVO CPC) and flat (Zero II CPC). Gloves are available in short and full finger. The CPC material in both items is claimed to increase comfort, enhance control and handling, improve air cooling, reduce vibration, and increase shock absorption and grip. We have test pairs of both on order and will report back asap.
