Singlespeeders, start your engines. Since the Gates Carbon Drive made its way onto the cyclocross scene a couple of years ago, the brand has formed a team and pushed the limits of singlespeed racing on new bikes each year. For 2013, they’ve introduced the new Team Gates Carbon Drive cyclocross bike, the Rallye from Spot Brand.

Of course, the bike is carbon-drive-equipped.

Based in Colorado, Team Gates Carbon Drive launches into its fourth ’cross season with plans to once again belt the competition and dominate the singlespeed race category in the Rocky Mountains and beyond. The goal: “be ambassadors for SS cross and spread the gospel of belt drive.” The team roster includes Cristina Begy, Brian Hutchison, Taylor Jung, Ryan McFarling, Taylor Nye, Jesse Swift, Derek Strong and Mitch Westall.

The team bike is equipped with Stan’s Iron Cross Pro wheels, TRP Hylex brakes, Crank Brothers Candy 3 pedals, and FSA seatposts, cranks, stem and bars. Other sponsors for the team include Primal for clothing, and Jinji Cycles as the bike shop sponsor.
