Video: Crossing The French Alps In One Shot (Parts 1 & 2)

Fortunately the weather cooperated most of the time.

On August 5-6, 2013, Mavic ambassador Mike Cotty undertook a personal challenge to ride non-stop from Évian-les-Bains to Nice across the heart of the French Alps. The trip covered 421 miles, ascended 17 mountains, and included over 52,000 feet of climbing. Check out this two-part video series to witness how Cotty tackled stifling heat on the Col de la Madeleine, blustery winds on the Col du Glandon, and night time riding over the Col du Galibier.
