Yakima Selected as Official Rack Partner for 2012 USA Pro Challenge

News

Denver, CO – Yakima, the innovation leader in cargo management solutions, is the official bicycle rack of the USA Pro Challenge professional cycling road race, which is taking place across Colorado from August 20-26, 2012. Under the three year partnership, which began last year, the company is providing racks for the USA Pro Challenge race support vehicles.

“Yakima’s top-tier bicycle racks are the perfect fit for these professional cyclists and their needs during this very challenging race,” said Shawn Hunter, CEO of the USA Pro Challenge. “We’re extremely appreciative of Yakima’s support of both the Pro Challenge and professional cycling in the United States.”

As the official rack partner, Yakima will equip the more than 40 support cars with HighRoller and Viper rooftop bike mounts. Each vehicle will carry up to five bikes. Additionally, the company will have a presence at the race exposition area near the finish line of each stage. Race spectators can learn about Yakima products and enter a free drawing to win $500 in Yakima gear.

“As a longtime supporter of professional cycling, Yakima is thrilled to be returning to Colorado and the USA Pro Challenge,” said Bobbie Parisi, vice president of brand management at Yakima. “As a brand, we’re all about getting the gear out of the car and that goes for everybody – from weekend warriors to world class athletes.”
