Description A super-fast road racing tire with great traction. No other tire matches the Mondo''s performance for low rolling resistance, wet and dry cornering performance, and puncture protection combined.
Bike Setup: Specialized Tarmac Elite 2008. Shimano 105 groupset.
Summary: These came stock on my 08 Specialized Tarmac Elite. I had read reviews on here and was initially worried, but so far they have held up well. I've done about 750km so far without a flat. I make sure I have them at 120psi for each ride.
Strengths: Nice feel. Fast. Handle well.
Weaknesses: None so far, but some may become evident as I put more km's on them.

Summary: This tire came stock on my Specialized Tarmac. I got my first flat on the rear at 785 mils. Now at 800 miles, the bead on the front tire just popped out form the wheel.

Summary: These tires came stock on my Allez Elite. Let me first say that performancewise, these tires are fantastic. I feel like I'm riding in sand after switching to armadillos. The mondos have very low rolling resistance. I rode on them for about 3 months before I got my first flat (50 miles per week). Since then the flats have become more frequent. Just before the last century ride, I decided to put on armadillos because after 1 yr the front and rear mondos had holes in them (not the tubes, the tires). It paid off in no flats, but cost me in endurance.
Strengths: fast, smooth, effortless! I'm thinking they might be a big reason why I bought the allez elite vs the other bikes I test rode. I may buy another pair, just to get that feeling again
Weaknesses: Flat tires, poor durability

Bike Setup: Colnago CTI, Dura Ace components, DT Swiss wheels.
Summary: Put a pair on the Colnago I bought used in Feb., mainly because I needed the red stripe to get the "look" I wanted and I didn't want the weight of Armadillos anymore. Then I read a lot of complaints about flats, so I was concerned. I now have over 1,000 miles on them and not a single flat. Not sure where the people with all the flats are riding, but I do a combination of country roads, urban streets and paved bike paths. I just make sure I wipe the surface after I ride through any glass. I'd definitely but another pair.
Strengths: Handle well, good puncture resistance, look great.
Weaknesses: None that I've encountered
