RRomulus2

RRomulus2

63cm Rivendell Romulus. Ultegra build with Open Pros and DA hubs, 700 x 28 Panaracer TourGuard TG's, Nitto Bar and stem, and a B17.

The paint job was an option on this one, and it turned out better than I expected.

The bike weighs 22lbs. and rides great.

Simply outstanding! Grant continues to impress me with his "innovative retro-grouchiness." You bike looks great. How does it/she ride?

The bike rides like a good road bike should ride. The slack angles, and 8cm bottom bracket drop make it super stable and comfy. I'm not the most flexible guy in the world, but at least I can ride comfortably in the drops on the Rom.

Some may knock the retro materials and style, but I double dog dare ya' to ride one and not like it. BTW I used the Riv sizing method and with a 90.5cm PBH the 63 fits fine. I'm thinking about getting a Kirk, or a Spectrum with the same basic geometry, and put some fast mover stuff on it.

Hey, I have a custom Romulus too! I know there aren't too many out there. It's an amazing deal when you consider the custom Riv frames cost $2500. I thought about the sky blue color as well, but ended up with something different since I could choose anything. An incredible and beautiful bike.
