Strength:

1400 gram frame. you wont have that nervous feeling between your legs like a carbon frame can give you. solid and confident cornering. fast. great on accelerations, sprints and climbing. rigid torque-meaning instant power transfer.

Weakness:

i cant stand everything about italian bottom bracket design (size, and threading). its fine if you have other italian frames.

the starship was lighter than many of the carbon frames that came out around the same time. the design is amazing- sloping geometry, taller headtube, cnc machined seatstay connection, oversized columbus tubes, slick sexy logo, rear triangle full of cool design aspects. shoot, i get more nods on the starship than riding anything else!! frame is designed for lighter wirey riders. black and white frame is absolutely stunning.

Strength:

As mentioned in another review from Sweden, this bicycle has a lively ride, yet still provides for a comfort level rarely experienced on aluminium frames. I owned/raced a GT Edge Aluminium for years. While that bicycle was incredibly stiff, it was neither light nor comfortable. The masters at Cinelli have managed to accomplish what many seem to think impossible; a bicycle that is light, stiff, AND comfortable. Also, the Cinelli Integralter bar/stem combination (came standard with the bike) is simply brilliant! No flexing. No creeking. Pure power transference.

Weakness:

One point of irritation is that the water-bottle plugs (braze-ons) continually come loose. For a bicycle of this caliber, I would expect the little things to be a non-issue. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever.

In one word, "outstanding". Aesthetically, this frame is a real jewel to behold. Performance is absolutely solid. Being only 1.1 kilos makes this frame extremely competitive on climbs. The specially engineered Starship tubing from Columbus coupled with the CNC-integrated seat stay component (really, a modified Cinelli Alter stem) makes for an excellent sprinting machine. I weigh 156 lbs/ 71 kg so perhaps larger riders may experience more flex that I have.

Weakness:

don't know yet

here's the reason i reveiwed this before riding or buliding it, if anyome is thinking of ordering this frame, it's not being importing into the USA, but it seems that a bike shop in Chicago, (not saying any names here) wants to sell you one for almost $2100.oo, so i ordered it online, saved almost $1000.oo (including shipping) by not buying from the only place who has it in the USA, took a little while to get made, but only a week to ship here, by UPS. good luck and i'll review it again once riden. thanks

Strength:

Lightness, livelyness

Weakness:

The lacquer work is very esthetic, but seems to fall of a bit easy.

A prestigeous frame, no doubt, made in very small series. Great finish and design. CNC-made wishbone in a totally unique design.
Behaviour: Not at all the aluminium 'stiff-ride'. Gives You a buttery feeling, very smooth ride but rock-steady in sharp turns and fast sprints/accelerations. Extremely light: 0,98 kg. Together with Ksyriums rocket-fast in uphill.
Friends get pale with envy. No matter how fast you go - You're the king.
