Strength:

Extremely stiff for climbs and an effiecent commuter because of stiffness no power transfer waste

Weakness:

hte groupo and orignal tires

Yes the components are a lack of but I have everthing orignal except saddle and pedals and tires. I have had no problems except the rear brake its would get stuck closed but I took it apart and that problem is fixed. Other wise I ride 250 miles or more a week and it is a totally comfortable bike .

Strength:

Excellent Frame. Overall a great bike for the money. Frame is worthy of upgrade.

Weakness:

Sora Components--OK to start with and hold up well, but would be better off with Tiagra or 105. Seat is poor.

excellent choice for money. worthy frame for upgrading. no mechanical problems. I ride about 20-30 miles per day and have ridden several organized rides of 60-70 miles a looking forward to my first century(HHH) No problems with comfort after seat upgrade and aerobars. Recommend for beginner or someone looking for stiff frame to add upgraded components to.

Strength:

Inexpensive, lightwieght,it is a good entry level bike.

Weakness:

The alluminum frame makes the bikes stiff and harsh to ride for longer periods of time.

This is a good bike for a person starting out, however, I was not impressed with the Sora components. The positioning of the shifting buttons does not allow you to upshift when in the drops. There also seems to be quite a bit of flex in the crankset when it is pushed hard. If you are only looking to ride 20 miles a couple times a week, this might be the bike for you!!

I am a mountain bike racer and wanted a bike to train on. This bike is very good for the price and seems to be holding up very well. I ride about 30 miles 3 times a week on it and do a long group ride once a week. If you are looking for a good training bike at a great price this is the one.

Strength:

Stiff frame, fast sprinter, tight handleing, good mix of components for the price.

Weakness:

Stiff seat, cromo fork can cause shoulder fatigue on extended rides. Platform peddles w/ toe clips. Marginal hubs.

You get what you pay for. This is my first road bike and for a novice rider, it's a good fit. I find that the bike will not compensate for rider weaknesses, so your forced to develop skill and power to get the bike to perform. From a training perspective, the GT gives you a great workout. Consequently, I pass lots of people riding bikes that cost 3 to 4 times as much as the ZR-5000. It's a good platform to build knowledge about cycling.

CHEAP PRICE, EXCELLENT FRAME

Weakness:

COMPONENTS

THE BIKE HAS AN EXCELLENT FRAME, BUT MOST COMPONENTS SHOULD BE REPLACED. ALREADY REPACED BRAKES AND PEDALS WITH CAMPAGNOLO. BRAKES AND PART OF THE PEDAL FELL OFF. NEXT TO GO WERE THE TIRES REPLACED WITH CONTI. HEADSET AND CRANKS ARE NEXT TO BE REPLACED-LOT OF FRICTION IN THE CRANK AND THE HEADSET. FOR A CHEAP BIKE I WOULD STILL RATE IT HIGHLY.
