Strength:

Good quality aluminium frame and fork. Excellent value for money.

Weakness:

Crankset and pedals that come with standard bike.

I got this bike on sale, but even at full retail it was only USD$770 before upgrades. I''m told that the same factory in Taiwan that produces the Avanti frames (leading Australian/NZ brand) also produces the frames for these bakes. For the price its a good frame. The bike economises by using a cheap crankset, cheap pedals, and handlebar/head, together with modest wheels and tires. But the price I paid includes upgrades to Tiagra crankset and Look clipless pedals. The bike as upgraded, is a higher spec than the Trek 1200, or Avanti Monza and about the same as the Avanti Vivace - but considerably cheaper. So far no problems for the first 1,500km. The crank that came with the bike as purhased was 175cm, which seemed an odd choice for a 54cm frame and a bike aimed at low end/relative beginners. A good value first road bike.
