Strength:

Great communication and caring attention from the folks at Waterford during design and construction. And the heavenly ride.

Weakness:

NONE AT ALL!

My bike was custom made to fit my short torso and long legs. A better bike was never built! Marc Muller did a fantastic job of design for this frame. It seems to fit precisely and it handles like nothing I have ever ridden. I know a little about silver solder and brazing, but I used to weld and do a bit of metal work for a living. Judging from the appearance of the frame, both inside and out, it appears your builder achieved perfection. The smallest details have had careful attention. I don''t think it is possible for anyone to do better work than this. I have read about legends like Eisentraut and Sachs, etc. in magazines and on the web for a very long time. Why aren''t Waterford employees featured by name on their website? Waterford builders are certainly the equals of any of the best and I think featuring them would help sell Waterfords. I appreciate the advice and guidance from Richard Schwinn while helping me buy my Waterford and from Marc Muller while designing my frame. The fit was as good as he said it would be! Even his suggestion for stem length seems to be dead on. I have owned a few bikes, but nothing has ever been so comfortable after many hours in the saddle, nor has any bike handled so well or been so stable at high speeds! If the best of the best is what you want this is your dream bike for fast recreational riding and light touring. Waterford rules!

Strength:

High quality tubes and Lugs. Put together (built) like a fine swiss watch. Built by the same guys who built Paramounts a few years ago. That in itself is good enough.

Weakness:

27.4 seatpost diameter ( this has changed now. They mostly come with Standard 27.2 posts). Brake cable on side of top tube sometimes snags on shorts. This is not a big deal. See bottom line for more...

This bike does whatever you ask (will) it to do on the road. It is more plush that carbon. feels lighter that Ti, Aluminum and Carbon when climbing. Desends flawlessly, without the need to correct your line in the turns. Last but not least the bike was designed for perfomance and comfort. If you ever get the chance to test ride a Waterford ( 2200 or 1200 ) you'll understand what I am talking about. And if you come across some one who owns one of whatever vintage, ask then how do you like your Waterford?. I am sure they will tell you how great this bike really is. This was the best deal for the money shor t of going to a custom built bike. And no I do not work at or for Waterford. But I wish I did. : )
