Strength:

indestructible. completely waterproof. good value. mostly very comfortable to wear.

Weakness:

no true custom options - sure, you can pick your colors, but with reload bags the sky's the limit.

strap buckle occasionally digs into your side.

something that lasts that long gets kinda ratty looking after awhile.

bought the timbuk2 bolo way back in 2000, as a bookbag for school. i figured it'd be like the backpacks i'd used up til then, except trendier - use it for a year or so, and it's worn out, time to get a new one.

heh. surprise - five years later, and the thing was still going strong. it's completely bomb-proof. i've used it for daily commuting in all weather, airplane luggage, and backpacking through 6 countries. it's hauled 200+lb. loads, multiple bicycles strapped to the outside, laptops in bone-drenching downpours, you name it.

this bag. will. not. die.

finally sold it to a friend so i could upgrade to a reload ('cause reloads are bigger and customizable), but i got my money's worth out of that thing, and then some (and my friend will probably get another 5 years out of it too.) after 5 years of extremely heavy use, the only casualty was the shoulder pad, which was easily replaced for 5 bucks at a bike swap.
