Performs as advertised

Weakness:

Smells bad until it dries

Years ago, someone had the idea to market a "bicycle-specific" chain lube that was proported to have almost magical powers. That product was Pedro's. My LBS did a chemical analysis and found it to be 99% ATF, repackaged and sold at about 100X the price that you'd pay at an auto parts store.
Unlike it's sister product ProGold, this lube is not marketed as a bicycle-specific product. That said, it works as well or better on bicycle drivetrains than just about anything else on the market.
The aerosol spray blasts a lot of the old gunk off of the chain when you apply it. It bonds to the metal very well (clean your new chain with solvent first to prep it). It dries to a semi-dry consistency that does not gunk up the derailleur pulleys, or attract road dirt. It resists water very well. All in all, a great lube to have around the house as well, for general oiling purposes (door hinges, etc.)

Similar Products Used:

Boeshield T-9, Pedro's, Campagnolo, 3-in-1 oil, generic 30W motor oil, etc.
