Wow! What an excellent product. Sturdy, strong and easy to work with. Also extremely adjustable with a solid bike shop worthy clamp. This is worth every penny that it costs.

Strength:

Sturdy and long-lasting

Weakness:

Difficult to adjust clamp

Good basic stand. I echo other's comments - it is sturdy, stable, and heavy. The adjustment to the clamp is via two knobs and the knobs sometimes fall out when trying to adjust it to fit the tubes diameter of the bike - which is not always that easy to do, and it doesn't accomodate larger tubing diameters that well. But with fiddling, it works eventually. It has held up well as I have had it now for eight years. Sometimes I wish for a tray to hold small items.

Strength:

Besides the "S" words: the PCS-1's main strength is its heavy, pro-quality clamp with 360 degree rotation. Worth every penny.

Weakness:

Well, lighter would be nice, but then it would lose its heavy-duty, professional grade feel. There is a tradeoff.

I just bought the latest version of the Park PCS-1 Stand, and it's even nicer than I was expecting. Lots of "S" words come to mind in describing this stand: Solid | Strong | Sturdy. Also has easy to use features. The clamp is fabulous, very heavy duty. Sure, it's a little more expensive than other home bike repair stands, but this is shop-quality grade stuff. If you want the highest quality relative to price, this is the stand to get.

Strength:

Strong, excellent construction, park quality

Weakness:

Sometimes wish I had gotten one with adjustable height.

Great basic work stand, gets the job done. This stand is perfect for all repairs. But, if I was going to spend ALOT of time working on bikes, I would want one with a height adjustment.

Strength:

I love having a workstand and this one's very affordable.

Weakness:

I have an older one with a crappy handle to tighten the rotation. It was plastic and lasted about 1 year and now I have to use a wrench to tighten it. Also, it's rusted some but I wouldn't expect it not to for this price. Finally, it's pretty heavy and it a little hard to lift up to the hooks it hangs from.

I think a workstand is a great investment and Park makes this one very affordable.

Strength:

Good price; solid construction

Weakness:

Bulky for storage; weak locking clamp

Not bad. It folds for storage, but is still very awkard to try and stash away. I have an older model with the lock handle on top - cheap plastic, and you have to crank it to top the bike from rotating. Still, it serves its purpose and it works reasonably well.
