Strength:

Water and wind proof.
Snug fit.
Durable sole material.
Front sole cutout large enough to fit around Speedplay cleat.
Reflective stripes and logo at rear of cover.

Weakness:

Neoprene can incur cuts in a fall.

I once covered my shoes in plastic wrap to keep out the cold. These Endura Road Overshoes are are much better option. These covers are made of neoprene bonded to a Kevlar-faced sole.

Fit
The rear opens up down to the heel via a full-length zip down the back of the cover. This makes it easy to stretch the neoprene cover over your shoe. There are two cutouts on the sole. The front cutout is large enough to fit around my Speedplay cleats. The rear cutout fits around whatever rubber pad you have on the heel of your shoe. Once the zip is up and secured by a velcro tab the fit is snug and secure both around the foot and the ankle.

Function
The neoprene is completely waterproof and windproof. The sole material and stitching are sturdy, and while not waterproof, they do provide a barrier to water while on the bike or walking. I have not had wet feet while wearing these covers.

And added advantage of the neoprene and Kevlar construction of these covers is that they are easy to clean.

Durability
I was initially concerned about the durability of neoprene covers. Especially when I saw how much they have to be stretched to fit over the straps and buckles on my Sidi shoes. My concern was unfounded. These covers show no ill-effects from being stretched again and again. Even the potential weak point - the bonded seam along the top center of the cover - has remained as sound as it was the day I bought these covers more than two years ago.

The zips, velcro tabs and soles have been equally hard-wearing and resistant to damage. The only signs of wear are some small nicks in the neoprene from a fall I had. I had expected those nicks to tear and and get bigger as I continued to stretch the covers in use but that did not happen. I was told that I could glue the nicks shut but I have not bothered to do so.

Overall Impressions
I am very pleased with the Endura Road Overshoes. The have helped keep my feet warm and dry. They are more durable than I had expected. I like them so much that last month I bought another, larger pair to wear over my winter cycling shoes.
