Strength:

--Relatively inexpensive (but still overpriced in Canada)
--Stiff
--Comfortable
--Well ventilated
--Easily adjustable

Weakness:

--Ventilation hole in the bottom of the sole is not great in the rain (I cover it with a piece of duct tape)

This is a review for the '06 version of the shoe: the R-098.

I'm a believer in buying only what you need, rather than loading up with high-priced bling that does not add value. In this regard, I don't see how carbon soled shoes add value.

These shoes are all I need. Essentially, they are a non-carbon version of the R-151. The sole is very stiff, they are well ventilated, fit well, and are easily adjustable, despite the lack of a blingy ratchet strap tightener. If they fit I really don't know why you would need anything else, unless staus is important to you.

Strength:

- Price - Strength of shoe, tough to wear out

Weakness:

- Feet will become numb without another sole added - Look cheap

These shoes are great for beginers, they are a little hard at first and need to worked in. I myself needed to add another sole to the shoe to make it more comfortable.
