light cutout works feels like a ferrari for my butt

Weakness:

pricey if paid retail seams could be a problem in the future

upgraded this from my stock saddle that gave me soreness after a mere 10 miles in the saddle. since then ive only put about 150 miles on the xenon, but i have nothing but good things to say. the thing looks a bit funny with its center cutout, but it really works. i havent had a ride yet where my soft tissue feels pressure. the saddle is hard, but not too hard, giving just the right amount of stiffness without making the ride harsh and uncomfortable. im going to watch my shorts to see if the heavy seams all over the saddle cause a problem.

Wide flat platform, fairly light, value, no vibration

Weakness:

Colors are a little out there - I am not sure about all the seams

What a difference a saddle can make. The Xenon is simply perfect for me. Wide flat platform hits the bones perfectly. So much better than my Selle Prolink (and about 80 grams lighter).

Great saddle. Feels great, looks great, is great. I got it for $40 including shipping! As long as you are ok with the looks of this saddle, buy it and try it. Ti rails smooth out the ride, slightly, compared to steel of old saddle. Other reveiws mention the seams, I think the leater will wear out before the seams!

comfort, the continued ability to ability to procreate

Maybe the price. I think I paid something like $135.00, which seems a bit high.

This saddle is perfect. I've had various saddles on various bikes and always experienced numbness on long rides. Saddles designed to alleviate numbness are usually overly large, soft, heavy, and uncomfortable. The Xenon has none of these traits, however. Granted, its uncomfortable to begin with because your weight is now primarily supported by your sit bones instead of your sit bones AND other more sensitive areas. But once the body adjusts to the new arrangement, the saddle is totally comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone.

Strength:

Comfort. I tend to long distance fast tours so in this respect the saddle is Fantastic as far as comfort goes. For those interested in saving weight, go with Fizik.

Weakness:

A little pricey and the seams do tend to wear.

I choose this saddle after a long, and painful, trial and error process involving many of the well-known saddle brands. I agree with several of the other posts found here in that the seams in the saddle can be a problem IF you don't match it up with a proper short/tight combination or the setup is incorrect. My first pair of cycling shorts that I tried were an exercise in agony. When I switched over to a pair of Boure's, Ahhhhh! I had found nirvana.

Firm. Sits high off of it's own rails. Craftsmanship.

I found this seat to be an excellent purchase. Frequently I used to suffer from numbness in the nether regions down to my right foot. All discomfort has been alleviated immediately upon using the Koobi Xenon. As a duathlete I don't usually spend as much time in the saddle as a road racer but for what I have been doing I have been very happy with Koobi. The seat itself is nice and firm and sits high off of the rails. I'm using mine on a compact bike with a forward adjustable seat post for my duathlons so I have been satisfied with the saddle's range of extension.

Strength:

None that I can find.

Weakness:

Bad customer service, horrible saddle, bad shorts, heavy saddle, unhappy customer!

I rode a Koobi Xenon for just about as long as I could stand it. I won the Maine Time Trial Point Series and ride a lot. The Koobi saddle is of decent construction, the rails are not long enough for extreme positions. This saddle has to be the most uncomfortabe sadle I have ever ridden. I could only endure about 30 minutes on it before my pain threshold was passed. It may work for some people, but I found it to be uncomfortable at best. Koobi offers a deal that if a product is unsatisfactory, the buyer can send it back within thirty days of purchase and get a refund. When I bought my saddle I ordered a pair of shorts. The shorts were half price because I ordered them with the saddle. Before the thirty days were up I sent the saddle back but held on to the shorts. I figured that I could send back sweaty, grimy, used cycling shorts. It turns out Koobi is now charging me full price ($80.00) for the shorts because I sent back the saddle only. No where on their website or anywhere else did they explain that the shorts would double in price if the saddle was returned. After calling and trying to resolve the problem, I was recieved very rudely, and feel as though I am being ripped off. Between a bad saddle, not so good shorts, and bad customer service, I wouldn't recomend Koobi to my worst enemy.

Easy to find multiple positions to sit. Light-ish weight. Great construction.

Weakness:

Painful when working on cadence, spin-ups, breakaways, anything where your butt is stuck in the saddle.

Painful. I have given this saddle (and my butt) 500+ miles. All I know is that I have not adjusted. The cutout is perfectly positioned to rub me in an extremely painful area. I ride 8-10k miles a year and this is not the saddle for me.

Nicely made.

Weakness:

Not comfortable.

This saddle is beautifully made. But the seams are poorly positioned. I've got sores from it. It's a hard saddle, not necessarily a bad thing, but not a good thing in this case. I would say it's an averagely comfortable saddle. You shouldn't have to spend above average to get this level of comfort.

None so far.

As this website doesn't yet have a post for the new Koobi PRS saddle, I feel compelled to share my experiences with my fellow cycling brothers and sisters. If you ride on a racing saddle and occasionally get discomfort in the "sensitive areas", either from sitting a little too far forward on the seat in an aero position or for other reasons, then you must try the PRS saddle. I have been searching for years for a narrow racing saddle that doesn't cause "sensitive area" discomfort either during or after the ride. I have now found the saddle. It's called the Koobi PRS. And the built-in adjustable elastomer suspension does a good job in reducing road vibrations and the like. I know (and so does everybody else) that finding the right saddle is a very personal matter. Everybody is built differently. In my opinion, this saddle is worth your investment. Now I don't have to worry about hurting myself the next time the weekend group decides to put the hammer down. Thank you Koobi.
