Strength:

Full Shimano 105 and aluminium construction with carbon forks and rear stays. A pleasure to ride. This bike hits a sweet spot between performance vs practicality and durability, a pleasure to ride. Frame is in a hill-climbing geometry. Attractive styling.

Weakness:

Original wheels are not amazing. I upgraded the front wheel with the cheapest aftermarket wheel at the Trek Shop after the original wheel was damaged and found a marked improvement.

Strength:

Value, smooth but still very still laterally

Weakness:

Stock wheels

2009: I've really fallen in love with this bike. Long easy rides or fast sprints are no problem. Smooth feel, the rear triangle carbon is great at that. Awesome value too even at MSRP with full 105, even the brakes. Only downside are the stock wheels, they flex a lot on high speed corners.

Strength:

pretty quick ride. carbon chain and seat stays soak up the road buzz but still responsive. feels pretty solid in the corners and stable at speed. also unique tube shapes and graffics make it look fast even in the stand.

Weakness:

stock wheels are less than ideal. not as light as full carbon. but pretty awesome for the price.

really supprised at the spirit in this bike. I've been a mountain biker all my life but couldn't pass up this deal.
