Strength:

When it works it is fantastic. Unfortunately the build quality is just not there, the public is the beta tester for Garmin, and I'm currently on my second set of pedals in 700 miles. First the right side would drop out, then i replaced the doors, then the battery life fell off the floor, then the left sided went out. The pedal has an inherent design flaw. The end cap is made of aluminum. It screws into a plastic housing. The plastic is no where near as strong as the metal and will wear out in a matter of a few battery changes or a hard hit to the aluminum cap. Garmin has been gracious enough to warranty my pedals, but I'd prefer to not even have to do that. I'd prefer if it just worked.

Weakness:

After reviewing the comments section of DCRainmaker, Cycling weekly, and the Garmin forums, I think a better choice would have been a quarq.
