Great grip and road feel ... if factory installed.

Seemingly impossible to install ... without the arm strength of King Kong

My high-end carbon hoops came with a set of these factory installed. Until the inevitable fatal puncture of the rear tyre, ride quality, grip and road feel were excellent so an easy decision to replace with an identical model. And that was the big mistake. Mounting tubular tyres is never easy and Contis have a reputation for benchmarking the task. After several hours of stretching followed by several more hours of straining it proved impossible to get these tyres onto the rims. Tomorrow it's off to my LBS - not for help with installation, but in search of a more user friendly alternative.

A little on the expensive side, bike shop has to install them (well, at least for me)

With the rise of wider tires and the benefits they bring, purchased 25mm version of this tire to use on the very wide Hed Stinger 6 wheel. Love the cushy ride feel of the 25 and it's a racers tire! Run 120 in the back, 115 in the front and barely clear the Campagnolo Record brakes. Make sure you have frame and brake clearance before buying wider tires (and wheels) as there are issues (Sram Red or TRP brakes won't work). Only use the tires racing and have about 750 miles on them and will at least double that. Race in road races and crits in all kind of conditions and am pleasantly surprised by how fast the tires are as well as how they are holding up. Join the 25mm revolution!!!
