Fuji’s Giro Campaign Debut

Philadelphia, PA – ASI, parent company of Fuji Bikes, is pleased to announce the kickoff of Fuji’s 2011 Giro Campaign!

Deemed the hardest Giro ever by fans and riders alike, this year’s Giro d’Italia will traverse 3,494 kilometers of rugged terrain. The course features seven mountaintop finishes and totals 2,236 meters in elevation.

To tackle one of their hardest opponents yet – the 2011 Giro course – seemingly the ultimate test for man and machine, GEOX-TMC will ride Fuji’s ultra-light Altamira road bikes.

With leaders like 2009 Giro d’Italia champion Denis Menchov and 2008 Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre, as well as emerging stars like Fabio Duarte and Rafael Valls, GEOX-TMC will not only be among the top contenders for the pink jersey; they have a chance to win.

And Fuji will be there every step of the way.

We have been following the team extensively since the season began in January through rider interviews, race reports, and exclusive photos and news on our pro team blog: https://www.fujibikes.com/proteam. But for the month of May, we’re taking it one step further.

On our newly revamped team blog decked out in Giro pink featuring photos from the team’s recon rides in the Dolomites, we will be providing dynamic behind-the-scenes, race day content for every stage of the three-week, 21-stage Tour of Italy.

ASI Team Liaison David Anker and Team Marketing Coordinator Milay Galvez will be traveling with the team throughout the Giro, sharing photos, video, and insider details about the team’s quest for the pink jersey – unique, compelling content you won’t find anywhere else. At ASI headquarters, we will be compiling all the info, and posting the most up-to-date GEOX-TMC results.

Beyond the daily content we will be providing, be sure to check out new features on the team blog like rider profiles, a closer look at the team bikes, and galleries from the races thus far.

Throughout the month of May, Fuji will be running banner ads on Cycling News and VeloNews, as well as print ads in Peloton magazine, ROAD magazine, and VeloNews, to drive traffic to the blog. Check out the ad below!

It’s an exciting time, and we want you to be a part of it. Check back throughout the month, as our team blog will be the place for everything GEOX-TMC and the Giro.

The campaign kicks off today with an introduction to the “team behind the team.” Meet the GEOX-TMC mechanics, soigneurs, and doctors as they prepare the food, clothing, and equipment for the Giro.
