Cleats are one of those underappreciated cycling components. You rely on them to do a critical job, but rarely spend much time thinking about them until they fail. Indeed, cleats do wear out, so best be able to recognize when it’s time for a new pair — and be able to properly replace them. Otherwise your foot may come out when you dont want it to, or you may even suffer an injury due to improper position.
