Pedals take a ton of abuse and rarely get much TLC. And while servicing them wont net huge performance gains, it will keep them running smoothly — and quietly. That’s why it’s a job worth doing. When your pedals stop spinning freely it’s time to do a little maintenance. In this video from the Global Cycling Network, the guys outline the steps to care for two of the most popular road pedals, Shimano and Look. But even if you don’t run either of these options, the general principals explained here still apply.
