LEM Helmets Launches New MotivAir cycling helmet

LEM Helmets, the Morgan Hill CA manufacturer of performance-driven cycling helmets for road, mountain, commuter, and kids, introduced its new lightweight Motiv Air cycling helmet.

Precision-built for road, cross-country, and gravel cycling, the 220 gram (size M) helmet features LEM’s proprietary Exo Carbon technology and low-density EPS foam to deliver improved low-energy and oblique impact management and what LEM considers an unmatched strength-to-weight ratio. “The technology and construction of the Motiv Air is precise and sophisticated to offer enhanced head protection in a lightweight, compact design,” said Keith Cozzens, Global Brand Marketing Director at LEM. “By integrating a thin, rigid, full-carbon exterior shell, we’re able to improve the overall benefits of the high-performance helmet for cyclists, and, in turn, help create a riding experience that’s memorable.”

The MotivAir’s innovative construction moves the interior structure to the exterior of the helmet. Using its strong, thin, and light Exo carbon technology. The carbon shell gives the helmet excellent strength as well as an eye-catching look.

LEM has created a full-carbon exterior shell with advanced high and low-energy impact management due to its dynamic design of a hard outer shell and internal low-density EPS foam. The shell is thin and allows LEM to get 23 vents into the 220 gram Motiv Air.

The shell is thin and allows LEM to get 23 vents into the 220 gram Motiv Air – without compromising integrity. Additionally, the Motiv Air features a micro-adjust fit system for easy dialing in and an aero design to maximize the rider’s output.

The LEM Motiv Air helmet will be available in Fall 2019 and will come in six colorways in with MSRP $225. Sizes include Small (53-56cm) Medium (56-59cm) and Large (59-62cm)

A good number of cyclists, from downhill mountainbikers to world-class pro road cyclists in the Tour de France have tattoos. Time to get over the stigma and ignorance. By the way… I myself have no tattoos.
