Nairo Quintana's Canyon Ultimate CF SLX

On Sunday, Colombia’s Nairo Quintana became the first South American to win the Giro d’Italia. The diminutive 24-year-old climber who weighs just 130 pounds rode triumphantly through Italy aboard a Canyon Ultimate CF SLX, the top end race bike from the German-based consumer-direct seller.

When he wasn’t pedaling a fully pinked-out bike near the end of the race, Quintana’s rig bore the distinctive blue and green color-scheme of Spain-based Team Movistar. The size 50cm rig is dressed with all the best from Campagnolo: Super Record 11-speed EPS electronic shifting drivetrain, Bora Ultimate 35mm carbon wheels.

Other spec highlights include Continental Pro Limited tires, Fizik saddle, Canyon carbon bars, stem and seat post, Look Keo Blade pedals, and Elite carbon bottle cages. Campagnolo cranks are 172.5mm and are attached to a 53-39 chainring set-up painted in Movistar livery. The 2013 Tour de France King of the Mountains’ frame weighs a reported 790 grams, has a flattened top tube, asymmetric chainstays, and a carbon fork with full carbon dropouts.
