Fresh off their trip from Paris Roubaix, Tom and Chris from Bontrager were at the Bontrager booth today spreading the word about Bontrager’s new top of the range RXXXL road shoes. Available in two different colorways, White with black and red accents, and a bold limited edition red version. The standard shoe comes with 1.5mm incremental release Micro-Fit buckle, allowing you to toggle back and forth to dial in your fit. But the limited edition shoe goes with all velcro straps instead of the buckle in favor of weight reductiont. Both come with a ZeroXS design, consisting of a single seal upper and a wrap over tongue, giving you a close snug supple fit. Bontrager designed a new platinum series carbon sole with an integrated power wave feature which according to Tom adds strength and stiffness to the sole. A perforated 360 degree heel cup, locks your heel in place and allows maximum ventilation.
The standard XXXL road shoe weighs in at 235grams per pair, while the limited edition comes in at just under 200grams at 199. The limited edition is available now at your local Bontrager dealer, look for the standard version to start showing up by June 1st.
