Bruce Gordon, notorious, legendary, and stubborn, is part of a small group of early frame builders in the U.S. Gordon figures when he started selling custom bikes there were maybe 20-25 other people in the country doing the same thing. Today there are thousands.

Through the years, Gordon has integrated his passion for artistic expression in his classic frames. With a long list of accolades and best-in-show awards, he’s recognized by cycling’s inner circle. But outside that realm he’s been living largely in the shadows, working away in his cavernous workshop in Petaluma, California. With Kitsbow Headquarters around the corner from Gordon’s shop we’ve had the pleasure of sharing our passion for craft, process, and design, as well as enjoy his plentitude of good tales.
