Portland, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Denver. All four cities consistently earn high marks for their cycling friendly infrastructure. And now more and more U.S. cities are making strides to replicate their success. As a result America continues to see a rise in the use of the bicycle as a valid form of transportation. But when compared to some major European urban areas, the U.S. still has a ways to go. Take Copenhagen. The capitol of Denmark first started building bicycle-specific infrastructure in 1912 and hasn’t let up since. Today, bicycles and cycling is second nature, not just a hobby. With over 215 miles of bike paths, Copenhagen has been called the world’s best city for cycling. Check out this video to see what makes it heaven on Earth for cyclists.
