Hello there
I have the chance to swap out my Mavic ksyrium SL wheels (700cc clinchers) that are coming stock with my new bike, which cost £500 / $900 as a retail price and weigh in at a hefty 1600 grams according to weight weenies.
I want to swap these factory wheels for some custom made ones. I am looking for a lightweight wheelset with a "low" spoke count, say 24 for the rear and 18 for the front. So for around the $1000 mark (I can pay more to make up the difference), what would you recommend for a laterally stiff, lightweight wheel, preferably clinchers, but if theres less weight to be lost at this price range, then tubulars.
Thanks
