This is a pretty difficult one to photograph. It is surrounded by fairly tall buildings (well, tall for DC anyway) and the sunlight is rarely good.

I kept going back until I finally figured out that at night all the varied light sources really photograph well. Then it was just a matter of waiting till the trees were blooming and shooting from an angle to hide the buildings.

About 2 years worth of thinking and experimenting before I got this.

Absolutely beautiful. I will be sad to see the series end.

I have shown them to my kids the last few weeks- they can't wait to go to DC. Plus they think you are an amazing photographer. 2 thumbs up from the 10 and 13 year olds. :)

I think I actually visited that one with some old guy on a bicycle that was acting as a tour guide.

What happens after 102?

Is that your last day of employment?

Nothing really.

And no, my last day will be in April or May depending on when the project I am working on finally ends.
