Anybody ride with a 1080 rear wheel as their main wheel? ( training & racing ) If so...what do you think about it?

my pockets are too shallow to allow me to TRAIN on a $1200 wheel. So .... I got nothing for you.


My 10-yr old 404's do just fine on race day.

Yeah...I know, my 404'S are great. I was looking to get a new wheelset and had my eyes on the 1080 for my rear wheel. Just looking for some feedback before I leap. I am considering converting my road bike to TT Machine and want to pair it with that rear wheel.

+1 but what you really need is the zipp 440 circa 1994, costs less than my training wheels and is every bit as fast as the newer zips, but no dimples.
