I don't know about that, but there certainly are 130mm threaded hubs out there. I recently bought a brand new wheel at the LBS with a threaded 130mm hub. It was a low-end wheel to replace the tacoed rear wheel on a $20 garage sale bike I picked up.

130mm hubs and freewheels

I thought cassette freehubs came around when 130mm made its way on the scene?
The conversion to freehubs started with 6spd (126mm axle), and most manufacturers had switched to freehubs by the time they went to 8spd (130mm axle), but there were still a small number of 8spd threaded (freewheel) hubs made, as well as some 8spd freewheels. Sachs (which later was bought by SRAM) were probably the largest manufacturers of 8spd freewheels, although they were still a small part of the entire 8spd market.

As far as I know, there have never been any 9spd freewheels.
