I have been talking with everyone for an idea on a bike around 1500. My local bike shop just contacted me and can get me a 2005 Giant TCR1 in my size, XL for 1249. Great deal? Sounds awesome to me. It has full ultregra etc...Time pedals. Let me know what you guys think.

aluminum...

it is the aluminum frame...originally 1600 and I can get a new left over for 1249...seems like a good deal.

Yeah, I was just asking if it was aluminum or carbon, because I've heard the carbon frames are a little flexy in the larger sizes. I've not had experience with them, but have heard several larger riders I know say that.

Just stating your height is not nearly enough information to determine bike fit.
