Has anyone been riding the 2006 K-FORCE COMPACT MEGAEXO with the FSA C-16 FRONT DERAILLEUR? I'm wondering about:

1) Gear change functionality?

2) Do the cranks.chainrings hold up--apparantly an older generation of these were prone to failure where the carbon interfaced with aluminum. According to FSA, this has been fixed?

Thanks!

Shifting function on compact is generally pretty good although it may not be as quick as standard when shifting from little to small. If your using the D/A front deraillur now use that. It should shift well. Expect chain rubbage when in the small/ small combination. This is normal because of the size difference in chainrings and can be better/ worse dependant on chainstay length. That gear is the same as the 50/17 combination so you shouldn't be in small/ small anyway. If you have shifting problems contact FSA 877-743-3372 toll free and they can help you.
The late model Cranksets have design changes of the aluminum inserts so they will not come unbonded. The compact K-force crank was not delivered until interbike time last fall so it should be the latest version. If you have any concerns contact FSA. Cheers!
