It does look a little thin, but Cervelo's R3 seat stays make them look hefty. I haven't heard of anyone breaking them in normal use, but there's a first time for everything. http://www.cervelo.com/bikes.aspx?bike=R32006.

There are mixed reviews on the Pave seatpost. I weigh ~190 and ride on garbage roads, and mine has held up great. Specialized generally blames it on overzealous seatpost clamp torque, but who knows.
