Hello,

Is there anyproblem getting a 2013 BMC Teammachine SLR01 Frameset?
Anything i should worry or consider before i go ahead to purchase it?

What kind of seatpost/clamp does it have? I know some of the models from a few years back had issues with a wonky shim style seatpost (sorry, don't know the proper name).

I have a 2015 SLR-01 with a fairly standard seatpost clamp, and have had zero issues.

Edit: If your seatpost is like the one in this article, you are probably OK. Not sure if this reflects the '13 model year, or the '14 model year (article is dated Nov 2013).

BMC changed to a normal seat post clamp in 2012. Previously, they used what they called a Streampost which had an elastomeric expansion plug at the end of the seat post. Though there's no real benefit and it weighs more, it works fine as long as you don't lube it and keep it adjusted properly. Some experienced seat post squeaking with this arrangement, the fix being putting a piece of thin plastic tape around the back of the seatpost where it exits the seat tube.
