WASHINGTON - A 22-year-old woman has died after being struck by a garbage truck while biking near Dupont Circle in Northwest D.C.
D.C. fire department spokesman Alan Etter says the woman was hit on Connecticut Avenue near R Street. He says the garbage truck was not owned by the city.
Etter says D.C. police are investigating the incident.
